Aquarium Maintenance & Custom Aquariums in Mission Woods
Boodleshire designs, installs and maintains aquariums for Mission Woods homes, from a reef system built into a family room to a planted tank in a study. Our Lenexa studio is about 11 miles away, under a 20-minute drive, so our biologists can keep a regular schedule and reach you quickly when a tank needs attention. Mission Woods fits a lot of history into a few tree-lined streets, and one of its landmarks is the 1900 Building: the 1966 Lee Jeans headquarters known for its tulip columns, which Karbank renovated into offices, event space and The Restaurant at 1900.

Built for the room it lives in
Mission Woods was laid out among old trees and rolling ground, and no two of its houses are alike. We design each aquarium around its room: where the light falls, how the cabinetry meets the wall, and where the equipment can stay hidden but easy to reach. The finished tank looks like it was always part of the house, and it is simple to keep healthy.

Your water in Mission Woods
Mission Woods is in WaterOne’s service area, so your tap water comes from the same Johnson County utility that serves its neighbors. It arrives lime-softened and treated with chloramines, with an average pH around 9.6 and total hardness near 144 ppm. Chloramines have to be neutralized with a conditioner before any tap water reaches the tank, and reef systems do best on RO/DI water. We test your tap at the first visit and set up the system to match.
Why Boodleshire
Every tank we care for is looked after by degreed biologists. New fish spend two weeks in quarantine at our studio before they go home, and every visit’s water parameters are tested and logged. We’re fully insured, we carry certified dealer brands, and we stand behind our work with warranties.
