Aquarium Maintenance & Custom Aquariums in Lake Winnebago
Boodleshire designs, installs and maintains aquariums for Lake Winnebago homes, from a reef system facing the water to a planted tank in a home office. Our Lenexa studio is about 29 miles away, roughly a 45-minute drive, and we plan Lake Winnebago visits on a set route, so your tank keeps the same steady schedule as clients closer in. The roughly 400-acre lake is the heart of the community, and the Lake Winnebago Homeowners Association looks after it, posting water test results every year and tracking silt and dredging coves to keep it healthy.

A steady schedule, wherever you are
Lake Winnebago is farther out than most of our routes, so we build every visit around consistency. Each one follows the same checklist: water tested and logged, equipment checked, glass and rock cleaned, and livestock looked over. If something needs attention between visits, we’re a call or text away.

Your water in Lake Winnebago
Lake Winnebago buys its water from the Tri-County Water Authority, which pumps it from the Atherton aquifer and serves communities across Jackson, Cass and Bates counties. Tri-County’s latest published sampling (2023) shows moderately hard water, around 141 mg/L hardness and 116 mg/L alkalinity, with a pH near 7.9. The city adds fluoride and the water is disinfected, so tap water needs a conditioner before it touches a tank, and reef systems should run on RO/DI water. We test your tap at the first visit and set up the system around it.
Why Boodleshire
Degreed biologists look after every tank we service. Fish spend two weeks in quarantine at our studio before they reach your aquarium, and water parameters are tested and logged on every visit. Our work is fully insured, built with certified dealer brands and backed by our warranties.
